Meet the Team
Leonard W. Burningham, began his private practice in 1970. Since then he has built a strong reputation in serving the needs of Utah businesses, both private and public, and has been sought out by businesses and individuals through out the United States for his expertise in securities laws, rules and regulations.
Leonard's son, Branden, is carrying on the tradition of representing the business needs and interests of their clients. Leonard and his son are each sole practitioners, practicing law under Burningham Law Group.
Leonard has over 54 years of legal experience involving securities laws and merger and acquisition transactions, and has been instrumental in the completion of well over 200 mergers or acquisitions involving publicly-held companies, while also serving as a consulting lawyer to a substantial number of other lawyers across the United States that are involved in similar securities transactions.
Branden’s practice focuses on all aspects of federal and state securities law compliance, with particular emphasis on registered and private offerings, mergers and acquisitions, and reporting under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934. Branden is a widely recognized expert in resales of restricted securities, having presented to a national audience of lawyers, and testified as an expert witness on the subject in the Supreme Court of New York.
