Meet the Team
Leonard W. Burningham, began his private practice in 1970. Since then he has built a strong reputation in serving the needs of Utah businesses, both private and public, and has been sought out by businesses and individuals through out the United States for his expertise in securities laws, rules and regulations.
Leonard's two sons, Branden and Bradley, are carrying on the tradition of representing the business needs and interests of their clients, along with Leonard. Leonard and his sons are each sole practitioners, practicing law under Burningham Law Group.
Leonard has over 50 years of legal experience involving securities laws and merger and acquisition transactions, and has been instrumental in the completion of well over 200 mergers or acquisitions involving publicly-held companies, while also serving as a consulting lawyer to a substantial number of other lawyers across the United States that are involved in similar securities transactions.
Branden’s practice focuses on all aspects of federal and state securities law compliance, with particular emphasis on registered and private offerings, resales of restricted securities, and reporting under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934. Branden also has significant expertise in mergers and acquisitions, having represented clients in dozens of such transactions over the past 25 years. His clients come from a wide variety of industries and are located throughout the United States and internationally.
Bradley was born in Salt Lake City Utah in 1973, and was admitted to the Utah State Bar in 2003, after receiving his J.D. from Golden Gate University School of Law in San Francisco, California. Brad has over 14 years of experience in a legal practice that focuses on various aspects of corporate law and federal and state securities law including general due diligence, the registration of securities and exemptions from registration, with a primary focus on Rule 144 and Section 4(a)(1) Legal Opinions.
